lunatic fringe: i know you’re out there.
The Great Mofo Delurk 2007

seriously, though. i get a gazillion 100+ hits every day — well, legitimate ones — i get a lot more from spammers — and yet i know only a scant few who actually ever stop to comment and say hi. (well, besides the spammers who are getting really interesting in their comment spam. thank G-d for Akismet!)

so c’mon every beatbox! say something. share your favorite recipe for anarchy! or chocolate brownies! or tell me you love me! (or not. but be kind about it.)

just let me know you’re out there 🙂

[and props to kellyo for bringing it up :-)]

  5. Hi. You don’t know me — but I read your blog religiously. Well, as religious as I can get. 😉 Somehow found my way to you via DCUM, but I forget exactly how. I’ve gotten quite a few parenting nuggets from here, as well as some belly laughs. THANKS! – Jill

  6. lol, well thanks so much!!!! i’m pleased to “meet” you, and i’m glad you stop by my little corner of the universe 🙂

  7. I’m making my delurking comment rounds. Good luck with pulling the rest of the lurkers out of the woodwork. I think a hot poker to the arse would work well. Sizzle and Comment! Voila!

MWAAAAAAH! I love you, old friend!

  9. right back atcha, my longisland twin xoxo

  10. Oh yeah, Sher. Not sure if you knew, but I check in on Wreke regularly. I love how your parenting posts reflect the real world. That, and your posts are often good for a laugh or two. Elaine

  11. Hi Sher,
I seconded Jill’s note above. Found you through DCUM – I always loved your responses and then finally one day I clicked on your link. I have a two year old and a four year old and can relate to many of your parenting blogs. And, although I don’t know you, I feel your pain when you write of your illness and treatments and respect your honesty, courage and tenacity.

  12. hey elaine! i love to catch up on connor’s existence, too 🙂 what a cool kid!

and i still want to learn to knit 🙂

  13. hi lucy! thanks so much for delurking! gosh, i wish i could just invite y’all over for some tea and brownies — there are so many nice people out there, esp from DCUM, and i never actually ever get to meet them — usually. i’ve been lucky so far with the ones i have met IRL 🙂
